BRUNO BRANDOLINO

Choreographer, performer and creator in performative arts. He graduated in acting from the Multidisciplinary School of Dramatic Arts (EMAD) and from the integral program in dance at inDANS-School of Movement Arts in Montevideo, Uruguay.

In Uruguay he worked mainly as a performer for Tamara Cubas (Trilogía Antropofágica; Serie Caníbal; Multitud) and Andrea Arobba, presenting works in both Latin American and European contexts. He also participated in independent theater productions as an actor and acting coach.

In 2018 he moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where he currently resides. Collaborating as a performer with various artists such as Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz (Escala, 2021), Carlos Manuel Oliveira (Por um lado / Por outro, 2021; Fátuo, 2021-22) and Bruna Carvalho (Gesto Perante os Desacatos do Mundo, 2019).

In 2019 he began his activity as a choreographer with the solo El Universo no se asemeja a nada, created within the context of the Programa Avançado de Criação em Artes Performativas (PACAP II) of Fórum Dança (PT), curated by Sofia Dias and Vitor Roriz, and with the support of the FEFCA grant from the Uruguayan Ministry of Education and Culture. El Universo... was presented at Portugal, France, Germany and Uruguay.

His second piece, La Burla, in collaboration with the artist Bibi Dória (BR) and with space and light design by Leticia Skrycky (UY), with funding from the Fundação GDA (PT) and the Portuguese Republic - Ministério da Cultura, will premiere in March 2022 during the Transborda Festival (Portugal).
